On a recent trip to my new favorite place to shop, the Habitat ReStore, I found this wood cabinet door. I wasn’t sure what to do with it, but at $4.00 it was too good to pass up.
When I got home I remembered that I had a can of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (Provence) that I still hadn’t opened. I purchased it over the summer but was waiting for just the right project to try it out on. I also had a little bottle of chalkboard paint on hand that cost around a dollar.
I can’t believe it took me so long to try this paint, it was so easy to work with and no priming required! I did clean the cabinet first with a damp paper towel but that was it.
This was a super simple and fun project to make.
To hold the chalk I glued on a cabinet handle.
