Scandinavian Inspired Advent Calendar

SUPPLY LIST:

1. Red ribbon

2. Red gingham scrapbook paper

3. Pack of card stock Advent numbers (I found these at Michael’s)

4. Individual size peppermint bark

5. Clothespins

6. White paper lunch bags

7. Gold craft paint

8. Glue stick

9. Scalloped scissors

Step 1: Cut scrapbook paper slightly larger than square card stock Advent numbers

Step 2: Glue scrapbook paper to lunch bag and card stock to scrapbook paper

Step 3: Insert 1 piece of chocolate and 1 Advent activity (example: make a red and green dinner, watch a Christmas movie, etc.)

Step 4: Fold top of bag to close and cut with scalloped scissors

Step 5: Punch 2 holes in top of bag and tie with ribbon

Step 6: Paint front of clothespins (I painted them gold to coordinate with the red and gold numbers)

With a little dog who would absolutely love to get into these bags, I knew I had to hang them high enough to be out of reach. Luckily the clothespins clipped perfectly and securely onto my cafe rods.

When my girls came home from school the other day they were so excited to see these hanging in the window! They can’t wait to see what activity surprise is in each bag and to eat the chocolate treats of course!

This project was a little time consuming but so easy to put together. I have been a bit slow in getting the house decked out for the holidays this year so I am relieved that I finished this in time to start the countdown!

Now I can sit back, relax and enjoy the smiling faces of my daughters as I watch them open a bag each morning. The best part of this project is all of the family time and fun that awaits with each days activity!

Let the countdown to Christmas begin!

Okay, figured it out. What confused me is I thought that I had already left you a comment. I love the chargers on your kitchen table and would love to know where you got them?

Everything in your home is so pretty.
