A Wonderfully Vintage Store Holiday Tour

Last month when I was up in Mebane, North Carolina I popped into the cutest shop, Nest, and I just couldn’t resist taking some pictures to share with you!  Nest is owned by a mom and her two daughters and is overflowing with vintage, shabby and chippy charm.  Sadly, as I was putting this post together I read on their blog page that they will be closing at the end of the month. But…the good news is they will be opening a new shop nearby in Burlington called Salvage Sisters and from the few pictures I have seen so far on their blog it will be just as fabulous!

I can’t wait to check out their new shop which opens in 2014, but for now hope you enjoy this truly delightful tour of their store all decked out for the holidays!

Hope you all enjoyed the tour and have a wonderful weekend! We have a fun few days ahead with family in town and today my daughter will be performing in the Nutcracker. I love to look back on all of the roles she has had and there have been many, this year she is a toy soldier. I have loved all of the costumes and every single minute of watching her dance over the years. The Nutcracker is something I truly look forward to seeing year after year!

  1. I love touring stores for inspiration. I was just at Restoration Hardware the other day and Anthro. This store is darling, too!

  2. This is the kind of place I want to open some day – I think that by the time the kids move out and the grandchildren start coming, I will still think, this is the kind of place I want to open some day! I wish we had something like this around here that wasn’t so over priced! You guys from the south are really lucky!! Trisha

  3. I love the Nest and so sad to see it go in Mebane, but will have to visit them in Burlington!..
Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!

  4. Hi Lauren. Wish I had known you were there! Maybe we could have met for lunch or something. The Nest is an adorable shop. Did you know that several of our bloggy friends have booths right up the street in Melville Trading?
