I seriously can’t believe one of my favorite months of the year is almost over, where have you gone October!? These lovely autumn days are just passing by much too quickly and I am so not ready for the cold weather that will soon be on its way or the busy holiday season ahead. I had planned to share my fall porch tour weeks ago, but as usual I got so behind with my seasonal decorating. The blogging world often moves at such a fast pace, especially this time of year and I am constantly feeling like I can’t ever seem to keep up. I am working on that though and already have a few holiday projects in the works, which I hope to share by January (just kidding, hopefully)!
So, are to ready to see what I should have called my “better late than never fall porch tour?”
If you saw my summer porch tour, you can see how with just a few simple decor changes I was able to transition the room for the fall season.
The mums instantly added a pretty pop of fall color. I love the ones that come in the bushel baskets, they help make decorating so easy!
I had picked up the pumpkin pillows at Pottery Barn last year and saw that had them in stock again this year. The plaid Ikea Hermine throw on the sofa was found on Amazon. Last year I used it to decorate my Thanksgiving tablescape which you can see here.
Last fall I went a little overboard (ok a lot) with all of the colorful pumpkins I found at the farmers market. This time I decided to keep things simple and just picked up a few traditional orange pumpkins at the grocery store for less than $10.
I found the leaves at Home Goods and love the natural color. I mixed them with some faux foliage I already had. The twig pumpkin in the arrangement and next to the basket were also both Home Goods finds from last year.
The tablecloth is from Target and I decided to layer the runner that I recently made on top of it for some added interest and texture. You can see how I made the table runner here. The acorn garland above the fireplace was another Target purchase.
This is the view from my spot on the sofa where I look forward to snuggling up with a blanket at the end of the day.
I love how the blue and white ceramic pieces look mixed with the little orange pumpkins, those colors just look so pretty together. The decorative spheres and faux pumpkins are from Pier One.
The colors of the leaves have already changed quite a bit since I took these pictures last week. We have really been enjoying sitting and dining on the porch, surrounded by all the trees and beautiful fall color.
I hope you enjoyed the tour and as always thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. The next time you see the porch it will be all decked out for the holidays!
