Merry Christmas Eve! I know I am very late in sharing our decked out for the holiday dining room with you. All of the dreary, cloudy and rainy days we have been having made photographing the room such a challenge and all of the photos I had taken were just turning out so dark. I was just about ready to give up, but yesterday decided to give it one more try. Once I started editing I was so happy to see that I was able to get a few brighter shots of the room and am excited to finally share our dining room with you today, barely in the nick of time!
With a new lighter paint color, the addition of the brown transferware dishes that now hang on the wall and the Christmas tree, the room looks a little different than last year.
My collection of transferware inspired me to make this year’s table setting a bit simpler with fewer colors, patterns and layers of dishes.
I used the same gold chargers last year and added the gold dot napkins and napkin rings, both from Pier One, to make the table look more shiny and bright!
I also recently added a few vintage brass pieces that I plan to keep in the room throughout the year.
I found the faux pine branches at Joann’s and they were 60% off! I added a few of the red and gold ornaments for a little pop of color.
The ceramic beverage tub from Pottery Barn is another recent purchase. I love using it as a centerpiece, but it will get moved before we sit down to dinner.
I just want to thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today and hope you enjoyed the last stop on my holiday home tour! Wishing you all a very Merry and most joyous Christmas!
