We love escaping to the mountains whenever we can. Even if it’s just for a quick visit, there is nothing better than getting away for a few days to enjoy a family hike, the breathtaking scenic views along the Blue Ridge Parkway or to just simply relax and spend time together. It’s also always fun to get out for a drive to explore the many wonderful towns, restaurants, and shops in the area. One shop that instantly caught my eye on a recent trip, thanks to the bright green sign and name, was Curiosity in Boone, North Carolina.
When you see the words, curiosity, consignment and mega warehouse, well you just have to stop in and check it out and I am so glad we did because this place is amazing!
With 22,000 square feet, this is truly a shopping destination and a must visit, especially if you are looking for unique and fabulous finds for your home.
I could easily spend hours just looking around, there is just so much to see.
They have everything from antiques and vintage items to architectural salvage pieces and tons of consignment furniture throughout the store.
They also have a design studio where they create and build pieces for their showroom and custom orders. They also have rescued barn lumber for sale.
How cute is this chicken coop!
I was tempted to pick up some fabric. Next time I will have to remember to write down my project measurements and take them with me. They also had lots of pretty pillows for sale.
There were so many things I would have loved to bring home with me but this is all I could fit in the car. I guess I’ll just have to pack a little lighter on our next trip.
The olive bucket was a great price at around $46.00 and the shelves that I plan to paint were a good price too. The wood window insert was a bit of splurge for me, but after regretting not getting it on our fist visit, when I saw they still had a few the next time I just knew I had to get one. I wasn’t sure where I was going to hang it but it ended up being a perfect fit in the hutch so I guess that was where it was meant to go and I love the interest it added.
If you live in the Boone area of North Carolina or plan to visit I hope you will check out Curiosity. I know I can’t wait to go back again sometime soon! For more information, location and pictures, be sure to visit their Facebook page, here.
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today!
